There’s no doubt about it, #1 on Google Search Results is a pretty big deal. However, we all can’t share the limelight at once! But then again, ranking anywhere on page one is great nowadays!

With that said, the second position on Google Search Results isn’t too bad either! Indeed, pages in the #2 position enjoy a 15% CTR, which is also nice! As for those ranking in the #3 position, according to reports, they benefit an 11% click-through. From that point, the clicks sharply decrease. In fact, #10 sees about 2.5% CTR on average.

Beyond the 10th spot on page one, well, most of you already know, it’s rarely seen by Google Chrome users! To be exact, the CTR is less than 1% on all other search result pages. So in terms of exposure, it’s quite obvious, ranking in the top 10 is critical, unless you don’t like organic traffic of course!

Google Ads Impact On Google Search Results

As revealed, ranking on page one is critical, especially if CTR means anything to you, which it should. At the same time, you should also consider the fact that Google Ads count for a position in the top 10 rankings as well.

On the bright side, the impact of Ads, in terms of the SERP, falls below the average rate regarding CTR. Furthermore; ads only reduce the rating by 10% on average. Nonetheless, if done right, the payoff with Google Ads can be enormous!
